Yokohama had applied for a stand in the Japan Pavilion of the JNTO, which was even bigger than in previous years, and was thus able to present the city as an interesting destination.
In the Japan Pavilion, airlines, railway companies and travel agencies, as well as Yokohama and 7 other local governments exhibited a booth. Although Colmar is a relatively small trade fair location, exhibitors enjoyed a full hall, as many visitors came from nearby Strasbourg and the surrounding area.
According to JNTO estimates, the Japan Pavilion was visited by around 3600 people, compared with only around 2000 last year. The Yokohama stand was visited many times as well and, following WTM London, the Chief Representative together with the Yokohama City Tourism Promotion Office, was again able to present Yokohama to travel enthusiasts.
