Travel Destination Yokohama at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London!

Nov. 4, till 6, 2019

WTM London takes place every year at the same time in the Excel London (Exhibition Center London) and is one of the most important travel fairs in Europe.

The Yokohama Visitors and Convention Bureau (YCVB) had applied for a stand at JNTO's Japan Pavilion and was thus able to present the travel destination Yokohama together with the Yokohama Tourism Promotion Bureau.

First hosted in 1980, WTM London looks back on many years of expertise and, according to its homepage, gathered 50,000 people from 182 countries this year. Over 100 conferences were held and contracts worth a total of around £3.75 billion (approximately €4.5 billion) are said to have been signed.

For some time now, JNTO has been hosting a Japan Pavilion every year, where this year representatives from travel companies, hotels or rail operators, as well as 10 local governments, including the YCVB, exhibited a booth.

As the Rugby Final was to take place in Yokohama the following week, many rugby enthusiasts came to the stand and many discussions were held with representatives of travel agencies, group travel planners, MICE planners, as well as private travelers and media representatives from all over Europe.
